Recently Parse renamed their pod from Parse-iOS-SDK to just Parse which did not come up in the first set of results. I had to dig into the extended results a while to find it.

It would be helpful if the exact match for any search appeared first.

finding parse

Good idea 👍

Actually we should even be able to choose the sorting order:

  • By name matching (by levenshtein distance, or by length difference, from low to high, so that Parse comes first in the given example) — this would probably be the default
  • By GitHub stargazers (from high to low, 0 if not hosted on GitHub nor any other service that has a staring system)
  • By number of usages (from high to low, extracted from metrics.cocoapods.org)
  • By last update date (from recent to older dates of the publication of the podspec in trunk)

@brennanMKE I agree. Here you go: http://cocoapods.org/?q=parse

@AliSoftware Thanks! Quite a few people would like features like these, so I've opened an issue for it a while back. I've referenced your input there.
