There is a list of the project ideas so far submitted for CodeTheCity 5 - Culture suggested so far on the right nav-bar of this page.

Some of these are focused on improving cultural services to citizens and creatives; others suggest creative endeavours in their own right.

If you feel strongly about one project, do some prep and research and come prepared to champion it on 24th October. Even if you don't feel you have the skills to deliver it, that's fine. Teams will form around the best-supported projects.

Perhaps you have ideas and suggestions for other projects? These could be for creative activity on the weekend itself. These could be around

  • Use Virtual reality in a creative or cultural setting (e.g. how could a VR system help someone naviate an art gallery? See what Andrew Sage is bringing!)
  • Digital music - using hardware or software - maybe pulling in data as a source
  • Creating Art from social media posts
  • Data inspired poetry or prose
  • Contributing data sources to a broader creative community to work with

If you want to put your idea forward now email it to us and we'll add it here.

Alternatively, come along on the 24th October, pitch it and form team to work on it!
