How can I anaconda upload my package (https://anaconda.org/DanielGoldfarb/mplfinance) to one of the default channels so that users can simply type conda install mplfinance without the need to specify a channel?

See also https://github.com/matplotlib/mplfinance (mplfinance is one of the matplotlib family of packages ).

Thank you. Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this question.

You should add it to conda-forge then request us to add it after that.

Thank you. The PR is in for conda-forge.
Is this issue page we are on the appropriate place to request adding it to a default channel once the conda-forge PR is complete?

My package is now on conda-forge, and I have tested conda install mplfinance --channel conda-forge and it works fine.

Can you now please add the package to one of the default anaconda channels so that my users can install without the need to specify a channel?

Thank you. --Daniel

Well, there is a maintenance cost to adding a package so now we can add it to the list of packages to consider adding. Thanks for the work. It's not guaranteed we'll build this though. I should've been more clear about the 'request' nature of this perhaps.

To put this onto our radar, pinging @anaconda-pkg-build

Cheers!

Thanks. If there is anything I can do to help with the maintenance cost, please let me know. Don't want to make extra work for others. All the best.
