I must agree with Matachi. Why? Sure, it can be done, but I don't see the need to do it.

Either that or the difficulty should be stated in the highscoreview next to the highscore

Why? If you survive longer you are able to kill more enemies which results in a higher score.

you will survive longer on easier difficulty, thus getting more points.
playing on harder difficulty should yield some kind of recognition.

Didn't know it was possible to set the difficulty level. Only thought that you had changed so it got increasingly harder.

It DOES get increasingly harder, and the rate it gets harder is determined by the difficulty level...

there is a static get method in gameModel to gain acces to the Settings!

Don't think so, and I don't think we have planned to complete it either.

Right now, there are no reward for playing on a harder difficulty level. No matter how good you are, you WILL get a higher score on an easier difficulty...

Nothing that is prioritized right now anyway.
