What Does This Do

  • Adds primary tag, language, and tracer version to payload sent to agent
  • Incorporates tags and env into calculation of pathway hash
  • Small refactoring of edge tags into a List

Motivation

  • Primary tag (also known as the "host group" tag) is used to segment services.
  • Incorporating tags and env into hash allows visualizations across envs and datacenters.
  • Sending language and tracer version will help with server-side debugging
