Orientation: Becoming a Member

TannaPo edited this page Jun 17, 2019 · 1 revision

Prospective members are invited to attend at least three events before deciding to join, this way they get to know the community and DCTRL gets to know them.

After someone has at least three members to vouch for them, they can purchase their first month membership and be given a FOB which will give them access to the space. Vouching members are required to follow the onboarding process with all new members.

New members are encouraged to get involved with ongoing projects and meet-ups before spearheading their own. Some ways to get involved include asking to help organize and/or speak at another members meet-ups to learn the process. New members are invited to ask questions about what other members are working on.

There is a three month probationary period after becoming a paying member before a new member is allowed to vote at meetings, this allows some time to get to know the dynamics of DCTRL and learn about the ideals we strive for.
