I tried to install it on a fresh install of Arch and it failed to copy somethings like the GTK theme and the berry.desktop file because their directories didn't exist yet. I added mkdir statements to make sure the directories exists before trying to copy the files.

usually those folders are already exist when installing linux

yes, but I think they're created only after running the X server and GTK programs for the first time
