More robust and more features

This version is my go to tool for checking large numbers of EDF files prior to analysis. Examples of generated output can be found below. Use the MATLAB app (below) for a quick start.

Increase Robustness

1. Match EDF and XML files explicitly.
2. List missing EDF and XML files.
3. Added SetCompositionCountStrClass. The function can summarize signal labels and signal sets. The signal set summary function has not been tested nor is it enabled.
4. Added button to summarize the signal labels and count.

Sampling Rate Export Option Added

Checking sampling is an important first step in most scientific analysis. Click on 'Signal Plus' to add sample rate information for EDF labels entered in the adjacent text edit box.

Note that the GUI does not have extensive input checking required for an official release. Please download the source code from the source code area. App was updated prior to updating source code.

Preliminary XML checking added

Added a checker to the annotation loader to look for deviations from the Compumedics file format. Release is an updated MATLAB App. Source code to follow.

Try using the new MATALB App interface. Download and double click 'BlockEdfSummarizeFig.mlappinstall' (below). The application should appear in your application menu.
