When you have umlauts like ä, ö, ü in your dropdown and you type in a word containing an umlaut, then it is not selected, since
e.whichdoes not give the correct ASCII code for umlauts.e.keyCodedoes, but is only available inonKeyPressso i split the code inonKeyDownin two functions.
