This happened with deblob change, I believe hunger values might be getting clamped too much. Lots of players reporting on EZ

I haven't checked the current cap, but last I saw was 6000. That amount is consistent with live. However, on live you can consume one item at 5999 and it wouldn't clamp at 6000. It would go over 6000 to meet the appropriate amount. Perhaps we can relax that a bit to allow for 5999 plus the greatest size consumable?

But I wouldn't think the amount clamped would have anything to do with the consumption rate calculation.

Yeah I'm not sure I haven't looked into it too deeply, just wanted to get it out there as an issue
