Running:

Type "py -m http.server" Open a browser and type "localhost:8000"

Features:

Version 1

Selection of year (1976-2016 in 4 year intervals) using slider Selection of year will cause states to turn blue/red/etc. based on presidential winner Hovering over state shows the state's name and breakdown of the election

Version 2

All features of Version 1 are preserved in addition to: Clicking on a state will reveal each state's voting similarity to other states

Future:

Have drop down menus for each political party to show info over the 1976-2016 time period
