Insights connectors

Connectors are used to access data from databases directly in Insights. Insights supports Google BigQuery, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, and Snowflake connectors out-of-the-box. To make database connections accessible to organizations that do not use the supported databases, Insights allows you to add connectors for any relational database that uses a JDBC driver, in addition to the supported databases.

This guide provides resources to help you add additional connectors in your organization. You can download the sample files, read help documentation on the Wiki, or create an issue to ask a question.

Instructions

Complete the following steps to add a connector to your organization:

  1. Download the SQL dialect and properties file templates
  2. Configure the template for the database used by your organization
  3. Create a connector type bundle (.zip) and add the connector in Insights

For detailed steps, see Create a connector type bundle.

Requirements

  • Insights in ArcGIS Enterprise 2021.1 or higher or Insights desktop 2021.1 or higher
