Asic hang:
As we have a rather large userbase that is running xbmc eden version with xvba patches I tried to backport the asic hang patch. It did apply with some offsets. Compilation and idle tested. You should shortly look over it, if all parts are needed.
Python search:
If a modal Keyboard is in focus, a progress dialog could interrupt, so that searches were not possible anymore. This patch was constructed via discussion with cptspiff. It is a preliminary workaround.
If it is technically okay, I would commit those too and afterwards we can let Eden sleep :-)
