Bug description
On running the app on the iOs Simulator (iPhone 12 Pro Max), the build suddently stops when executing pod install. Running the app pressing F5 or executing pod install from the ios project folder gives the same result.

Steps to reproduce

1. Pressing F5 or executing flutter run from project folder or executing pod install from project ios folder.

1. iOs Deployment target => 12.1 configured from Xcode

What i have tried:

1. Deleting the iOs folder and then run flutter create .
2. Always using flutter pub get instead of pod init

Have you run pod repo update as the error suggests?
This is likely just caused by out-of-date source repos.

Seems like having a Mac with the M1 chip still requires some different steps to do.

The 'CocoaPods could not find compatible versions for pod "Firebase/Messaging' error wil be solved when solving first the 'pod repo update' error.

I've tried different solutions but the ones that worked for me was the following.
Steps to follow:

1. On the terminal run: sudo arch -x86_64 gem install ffi
2. On the ios project folder run: arch -x86_64 pod install --repo-update instead of pod repo update
3. Now your build should be successful, press F5.

Ther are more solutions mentioned on Github.
