remove <= 7.1 rails requirement

Unless I am missing something, I didn't see a reason for the < 7.1 version specificity, and it was preventing me from using (my trax_model gem depends on it) in a new rails 7.1.3 project

This is the same as #96 and similar to #92. As a contributor to this repo in the past, I'm hoping to be given permission to take over maintenance of this project so I can release it with support for rails 7.0 and 7.1. 🤞

That would be favorable to releasing a fork of it.

For now, you'll need to use your fork with #96 applied.
