add docs to the repo?

Just download/checkout the gh-pages branch

Right but then you lose commit sync with the source code (source code and docs are on two diff branches) and packaging font-awesome requires two checkouts. Might not be an issue with font-awesome since it probably won't change that much, but I thought I'd mention it.
