If you don't want to do translation directly in Android xml, just join our SecScanQR community team on Transifex, check out the FAQ below and get started!
All effort put into translating strings will be useful for everybody using the SecScanQR application.
You'll be requested to login with an existing account (GitHub, GMail, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) or to create a new one.
Once you're logged in, join the translation team of your language and start translating or request a new language you want to work on.
Your contribution will be highly appreciated!
How to get started as translator?

- My language is not listed in the available ones, what can I do?
- I don't know how to use the interface and the Web Editor in the browser

A: You can request a new language from the transifex interface, but you'll have to wait for a team member to approve that language first.
A: We can't tell you how to do it right in your language...
Try to choose idiomatic wordings and orientate yourself towards other computer programs. Generally speaking, most languages might tend to use a more formal tone for user interfaces.

Q: I want to get notified about source file updates etc. to adjust my translation strings as soon as possible.
A: Go to "Account" → "Notifications" and enable Receive notifications for updates in files of a project.
(Notifications for project announcements and messages from users might help with staying up to date, too)
normal A: You'll have to wait for someone providing a SecScanQR build that includes your updated translations. You can get the most recent releases from the F-Droid app store, so it should just be a matter of waiting some time.
We might review it first or wait for more changes to happen before we include it in the app, though.
You could always talk to us and ask for a faster implementation!
advanced A: You can compile your own apk. Make sure to integrate your changed .xml files downloaded from transifex.
