Membership Requirements and Procedure

Applicants are required to

  1. Have a record of making three or more meaningful contributions to this project as an external contributor within any 6 months.
  2. Agree to the FGI Bylaws.
  3. Contact FGI leader.
  4. Join the Telegram group for FGI members.

Rights

FGI members can

  • Edit organization repositories directly or create new ones.
  • Manage issues and pull requests.
  • Propose or vote on resolutions within the organization.
  • Representing FGI externally.
  • Manage a portion of project resources and infrastructure.

Obligations

FGI members shall

  • Volunteer to contribute and respect the work of all members.​ FGI does not have work metrics such as amount, scope, or deadline. However, we may delist members who have not contributed for more than 6 months since their last contribution. Delisted members may rejoin in the future (members' contribution records will not be erased by delisting).
  • Maintain or manage FGI in areas of expertise and promote FGI growth.​
  • Always handle internal and external affairs with users and furry fandom in mind, and prioritise to the interests of furry fandom.​
  • Listen to the voices from users, contributors and furry fandom, support them with appropriate guidance and assistance for their contributions.​
  • License their work created for FGI for use by FGI and the community.​ Such license may not be specific to FGI, i.e., allow potential derivative projects of FGI and any other projects to be used with the same permissions.
