Using this rgba
stefan_rgba
one can do

grdimage stefan_rgba.png -JX7c/0 -D1 -P -K > stefan.ps
grdimage stefan_rgba.png -JX7c/0 -D1 -B+gblue -X8c -O >> stefan.ps

Looks nice. Maybe add this as a test/grdimage case. We could put the image in the cache if you like.
