Whether is is 6.1 or 7, what do you want to see done in the next year? Please add your suggestions here.

I think it is important to address relationships among samples. What gets a biosample id when there are subsamples, and how do we track relations among them.

Review / restructure the way we use "sections" in the checklists, e.g. Investigation, Environment, nucleic acid sequence source, sequencing, etc...

Think about how we can work with Single Cell sequencing communities, how do those metadata fit into the MIxS checklists?

Provide some tools for users to create their own checklists from our global set of MIxS terms.

Pers comm from @pbuttigieg: Replace MIxS terms that are covered in existing environmental ontologies or standards with those external terms.
