I think this is related to the use of HTML in Pluto that has been recently merged/tagged (Compose 0.9.3): GiovineItalia/Compose.jl@3dbc5a0

For some reason, the iframe does not have the correct size in Pluto:

@fonsp, do you know what could it be the problem here?

Hi @fonsp! The problem is the following. Compose 0.9.2 returns an svg tag with two script tags inside the svg to allow for the plot interactivity. The problem is that the interactivity doesn't work in Pluto. So, Compose 0.9.3 wraps the svg tag in html tags fixing the interactivity. But then, Pluto is using iframe, which in turn doesn't expand to the correct plot size. Another thing; I have designed the html fix using Pluto 0.14.7, and I do not see the same problem there. The iframe problem seems to be related to more recent Pluto versions (e.g. 0.17.3).

This is an example with Compose 0.9.2:

Nice! But do take a look at JuliaPlots/Plots.jl#3559 : because Gadfly is outputting a full HTML document, instead of an HTML snippet, environments like pluto have to render it inside an iframe instead of directly embedding it in the page. This hurts performance, especially when doing interactivity.

The same patch as JuliaPlots/Plots.jl#3559 should work here

I am having this problem too (using most recent versions) which is different from the issue in #1572. In addition to the scroll bars, the non-ASCII letters do not render correctly.

@fonsp @diegozea Any updates on this issue? The above comments say the scrolling issue should be fixed, but it isn't for me. The static HTML export shrinks the plot window and screws up the labels.

Interesting! I am on Windows 11. The HTML file renders correctly in Firefox, but not in Edge or Chrome.

Indeed, the problem is still there for static HTML. On MacOS that happens when rendering in Chrome, but renders well in both Firefox and Safari.
