The Deckbox

The deckbox is the GM's control panel for managing the cards they give to their players. From it the GM can deal cards to one player, all players, or themselves. They can look at players' hands, moves cards between players' hands, return cards to its deck, discard entire hands, and reshuffle decks.

Adding a Deck to the Deckbox

In order to use a deck that you've created, you must first add it to the deckbox. The deckbox can be accessed from the top of the sidebar. To add a deck to the deckbox, drag/drop a deck onto the deckbox. This will load it in for use.

  1. Deck Name
  2. Deck's Card Back. You can left or right click it to open a radial menu with options for viewing the deck and discard pile. You can also double click or click and drag from the deck to draw a random card
  3. Number of cards in the deck
  4. Number of cards in the discard pile

  6. Character list. Left or right click on character portraits to open a radial menu with options for dealing and retrieving cards from specific characters See below for more details on these operations

Drag and Drop Operations

The GM has a lot of power to move cards around. They can drag cards from the deck and drop them into their own hand or onto a character's portrait to deal that card. Holding the 'facedown' hotkey (Shift, by default) when dragging a card from the deck will drag the card facedown so the GM can't see it (depending on deck settings

Deck Operations

  • Deal 1 to PCs: This deals one card to all characters who are currently owned by connected players. Characters that are not controlled by connected players will not receive a card.
    • Multi: This lets you deal multiple cards to all PCs with the same limitations as above.
  • Deal 1 to GM: This deals one card to the GM
    • Multi: This lets you deal multiple cards to the GM
  • Discard Cards in all PCs' hands: This sends all cards from the current deck in every PC's hand to the discards pile. If PCs have cards in their hand from multiple decks, it will only discard cards from the deck where this button was pressed.
  • Discard Cards in All Hands: This discards all cards from the current deck in all PCs' and the GM's hand.
  • Shuffle Discard back into Deck: This returns all cards in the deck's discard pile to back into the deck.

Character Operations

By left or right-clicking a character portrait in the deckbox you bring up a radial menu with actions you can take specific to that character.

  • Deal one card: Deals one card from the current deck to this character
  • Deal multiple cards: Deals multiple cards from the current deck to this character
  • Discard hand: Discards all cards in the character's hand that come from the current deck
  • Discard random card: Discards a random card in the character's hand that comes from the current deck
  • Reshuffle hand: Shuffles all cards in the character's hand that come from the current deck, back into the deck
  • View hand: Views all cards in the character's hand (including cards not from the current deck)
