one more thing, the first time Handbrake got stuck was on the previous build. After that I upgraded to the current version |
@energyoase does this happen regularly with particular video or random video in the queue from time to time? |
sorry for the late reply. It seems to happen randomly. However the last time (the 3. time it happend), i handled it a bit differently: |
It should fix HandBrake#5317 and HandBrake#5177 where system contains more than one GPU card

Problem Description
I am using the current nightly build, because in the main version QSV AV1 10bit did not work correctly (#5166). I have been using an A380 for the last days to transcode my library to AV1. However two times in that time the active job got stuck. There was an infinite loop of the following error message:
hb_qsv_get_mid_by_surface_from_pool has not been found or busy
Restarting Handbrake did not work, however after restarting the PC, the problem was solved.
I found the error in code at
HandBrake/libhb/qsv_common.c
Line 3837 in 9709898
It seems that there should be a wait between these error messages, however there was no break and the log was posting this error more than once a second.
I needed to shorten the log, as it got too long to post. Rows 508 - 21928 were the same as seen in the nd of the posted log.
