why cant i get the to work..

Looks like you're using an old version of neko. Check that you have neko 2.1.0 or up by neko -version. Also it is possible that there are old versions of libneko in PATH.

neko version is 2.1.0 I had 1 version in path and another in hxcpp subfolder from compiling hxcpp, both retern 2.1.0

I had the same problem. Uninstalling Haxe and Neko and then reinstalling solved it for me.

Looks like this was some sort of installation problem.
