Hi,

The newly updated sketchup 2015 package doesn't create any links into the 3 apps installed in ~/Applications.

Installing cask packages...
==> Downloading https://dl.trimble.com/sketchup/SketchUpMake-en.dmg

################################################################## 100.0%

🍺 sketchup staged at '/opt/homebrew-cask/Caskroom/sketchup/latest' (3526 files, 377M)

Thanks

It’s intentional. It links the whole SketchUp 2015 directory.

Hi,

No, I have no folder link. When I search in the lunchpad the work sketch nothing is listed.

If I search with spotlight the app will be found.

I uninstalled the app and re-installed. Same problem.

Normally when a link is created you see a line like that at the end of the install.
==> Symlinking xxx to yyy

I do not see that at the end of the install.

Here is a dump of the sqlite db for the launchpad. You will see many folders but nothing related to sketchup.

sqlite> select * from groups;

This is still an open ticket for me.

Thanks,

You’re correct. It seems to be happening with all suite apps. Will have to take a look into it (can’t remember if the implementation was finalised).

That said, it’s only three apps and nothing else inside that directory, so there’s not much reason to use suite, instead of app. Discussing it in #7402 (you’re welcome to join, naturally).

In the meantime, reopening, as you’re correct.

Thanks!

That seems to arise from an oversight in #7065, though we are aware that suite has insufficient test coverage, which is marked as a todo in #4688.
