We prefer not to depend on keg-only brews unless absolutely necessary. Is there a minimum SSL version this will work with? If so, it may be that the OpenSSL dependency is only required on older systems like Leopard.

I'm confused... I'm not declaring an OpenSSL dependency.

Building VSFTP with openssl enabled works fine with the system OpenSSL (just tried on 10.6).
