The HubSpot CMS Boilerplate has been optimized for SEO. The HubSpot CMS Boilerplate website, which uses the HubSpot CMS Boilerplate theme has a website grader SEO score of 30/30 and a Google Lighthouse SEO score of 100. While there is a lot more work that can be done for SEO at the page editor and site wide-level, we wanted to ensure that the templates within the HubSpot CMS Boilerplate were a good starting point for SEO best practices. We've made the following updates to the HubSpot CMS Boilerplate to ensure that the templates provide a good starting point for SEO:

  1. Ensured that templates had an h1 and that there weren't duplicate h1s on each template.
  2. Improved link text within the HubSpot CMS Boilerplate's default content to be more descriptive (e.g. changing a button on the home page from "Click here" to "See more options").
  3. Made sure all non-decorative images had descriptive alt text.
  4. Optimized templates for better performance and page speed.
