Quick start

WonderBangDJ is an actively developed development! Try it now:

Run it with local server!

1. Open a terminal and make sure you have Rails 😉

2. Clone the repository

git clone git@github.com:I-Mircheva/wonderbang-dj.git 

3. Navigate to its folder

cd wonderbang-dj 

4. Run a Rails server locally

rails s 

5. Open a browser and visit localhost

http://localhost:3000/ 

Project Title and Overview

The name is inspired by the Wonderful ability of music to get under your skin and make your heart Bang harder! Our web application allows users to create playlists with video and audio clips from multiple platforms so we proudly call it a DJ. 🎧

Purpose and Need

As we ❤️ music we found it annoying to have to change platforms to listen to particular songs. And haven't you ever had a thought like "Bang it! Why can't I combine songs into a playlist from more than one website?" Well, You're welcome! It's already possible! We are here to make your dream come true!

Business Divers and Significance

Our passion for music and the constant switching between (mainly) Spotify, YouTube and Soundcloud inspired us to create this cool app. With a simple user interface we are making it easier than ever to create a personalised playlist and add songs with just one click!

How to use it?

Read the following instructions:

1. Create an account automatically just by logging in via Google

2. Click MyPlaylists button

3. Click Add a playlist and choose it's name

4. Click Add a song and choose a platform

5. Then copy the song link the chosen video url

6. And paste only the song id :

Ex.: From https://youtu.be/Udax_YlqMF8 paste only Udax_YlqMF8

7. Enjoy your work! 🎶
