Probably makes sense to start removing End-Of-Life versions of MongoDB as there have been significant changes and newer tooling may not be fully backward compatible.

EOL Dates:

MongoDB 2.2: February, 2014
MongoDB 2.4: March, 2016
MongoDB 2.6: October, 2016
