Question

I have an issue with jquery upgrade and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

  • ignite-ui version: 12.2
  • browser: IE

I have this application which required an upgrade in jquery versions. Used jquery.migrate to upgrade step by step but there is an error in the infragistics library : Unable to get property _injectGrid. Post this error, the grid on the page is not loading.
On speaking to infragistics team, they say infragistics 12.2 is not compatible with jquery 3.5.1 . I would require version 18.2 . But I do not how to upgrade there does not seem to be a nuget for it. Could someone please help me out?

Hello @neelbasu ,

jQuery version 3.5.1 is supported for versions 20.1 and later of the Ignite UI for jQuery toolset. More information about supported environments is available here.

Having this mind, if you would like to use jQuery 3.5.1 my suggestion would be to upgrade to the latest version of Ignite UI for jQuery that is currently available, which at this point is 20.1. Not only you will get support for latest versions of the libraries but you will benefit from all new features and functionalities that we have recently introduced.

In regards to the upgrading projects that use Ignite UI for jQuery to the current version of the library I can suggest having a look at this topic which explains the upgrading in details.
Additionally, in case that you are using Ignite UI for jQuery NuGet packages I believe you will find this topic helpful.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance with this matter.
