Glyphs were put into the game without review and testing, resulting in a buggy system with a lot of effects that were not approved of. The effects of the glyphs were also poorly documented. This rework will attempt to remedy all that and more.

  • Unique graphic for each glyph shard (Already released)
  • New graphics for combined glyphs
  • Rework of how glyphs are crafted and broken down
  • Rework of how glyphs are used
  • Better way for mages to inspect glyphs and glyphed items for their effects and other info. All information now found inside the game, no need to look up and out of date forum post.
  • New effects for each glyph. While each glyph won't be useful for each aspect of the game, there will be multiple runes for each aspect of the game to choose from.
  • Renaming of enchanting of jewels to simply be "enchanting"
  • The addition of a magic tutorial NPC, to be used for all arcane magic purposes
  • Tutorial for how to enchant, added to the magic tutorial NPC

Testing thread:
https://discord.com/channels/401855954272124940/1202572407299121152

Based on testing feedback:

  • Look into making candlesticks stackable
  • Look into adding a sound effect while casting glyph magic, e.g. such as when one summons a glyph ritual shrine or prepares it with candlesticks. EG: Snaring sound effect
  • Look into clarifying the description of when Chous is triggered, as per feedback
  • Look into Hieros as no feedback was provided for it yet
  • Rewrite the pushBack script to fix reported errors
