Why

This is important because many people do only want to vote on their own behalf and therefore do not need to upload metadata

What

As someone who wants to vote on behalf of myself only

When I choose this option

Then I can register without uploading metadata

How

Given that I have my wallet connected and I am on the dashboard.

When I click “register to vote on my own behalf” <--- or whatever the latest design says

Then I enter a user journey where I am registered as a DRep and my own voting power is delegated to me in one transaction. I am not given the option to upload metadata.

A sole voter is someone like a huge ADA holder who is important in their own right, and wants to vote on their own behalf. They do not want or need to have ADA delegated to them.

What a Sole Voter can do:

  • Vote on any Governance Action
  • Become a Drep

What they can't do:

  • Accept delegations through govTool - however, since they will have a DREP id, so someone using another tool would be able to delegate to them.
  • Retire as a Sole Voter

Where they show up:

  • They are not listed in the DREP explorer

What they see in the interface:
Becoming a sole voter desktop i finished

Their Voting Power as displayed at the top of the screen is calculated like any DRep. This includes any Voting Power that others may have delegated to their DRep ID outside of GovTool.

What we need to decide:
Should they be findable in the DRep explorer via search?

Furthermore, a sole voter does not enter or generate any metadata, nor do they have a 'DRep name'
