Posts matching a search query and their contents (incl. magnet) can be retrieved in a single API call: https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/reference/posts/. The only issue might be pagination, but setting a higher per-page query and iterating until 400 (rest_post_invalid_page_number) seems like a reasonable solution.
