  1. Before you install memory into your computer or upgrade your current memory, the first thing you should do is make sure that your computer is compatible with the amount of memory. Some operating systems have limits to memory. Not to mention motherboards also have limits to how much memory they can have.

  2. Windows disk caching allows you to use hard drive space as RAM. This allows the computer to run larger applications or run multiple things at once. The size of the virtual memory can increase or decrease if the computer needs more or less at any given time.

  3. Flash memory is used very frequently in computers. Flash memory is stored even when the computer is powered off. Not only is it used in computers, but it is used in tablets, cameras, and even printers. Flash memory allows these devices to store and save things like images or pictures for later use.
