"Where is growl.app" popup when notification triggered #204
Comments
Me too. Tried downloading again and extracting from zip, but still get the same message. Growl is a paid for app on the Mac App Store for £2.49 (see http://growl.info/ for app details), it is not expensive but I don't really want to pay for something just to enable compass.app. Compass.app version 1.27 Screenshot of the popup, which is always in front of all other windows, and I need to click 'cancel' to dismiss it - sometimes more than once as it pops-up again immediately after dismissing it. |
Is there an option to use default notifications or disable to be able to use it? |
Sadly no, there doesn't appear to be that as an option. For now, I have had to disable all the notification options. What is odd, is that some people in our office are experiencing this even though all notifications are turned off completely, while some only have to turn off the 'Other Change (Create, update, ...)' notifications to stop the error. However, I think this may be down to simply what is being notified of. |
What is this.. Why doesn't it work out of the box.. This is unacceptable |
me too... |
+1 same issue. Error pops up every time I watch a folder using compass. |
Same here, exactly same issue. |
Ditto. |
When you buy Compass.app there is NOT A SINGLE LINE of required software. This is unacceptable. |
It is done in 164a0d1, and will release in the next version. |
Thank you 👍 |
Fantastic news, thank you :) |
Awesome news! |
Has this been fixed? I'd cant use the app currently and Im looking for an update or at least a work around. |
Same problem here. Is it fixed ? Because, for now, i just CAN'T use this app, and for a PAID app, it's unacceptable. Anyway, thanks for the great work, even if it's not working =/ |
@kalote hello, it is already done, but we are still waiting for Compass release :-/ |

@A1ex5andr yes, please mail to contact@kktix.com to get a beta version. Sorry we are still waiting for Compass 1.0 (not Compass.app). |

done in v1.28 |
After updating to OSX Mavericks (10.9) when a file is compiled, if the preference 'Notifications->Other Change' is selected a popup box appears prompting me to select the location of growl.app
I do not, and have not in the past had growl.app, and the notifications used to work ok.
Compass.app version 1.27
Compass 0.12.2
OSX 10.9
