I recently updated from 2.7 to 3.7, now while hitomi downloader is open, when I browse some sites like reddit I get a response
SSL_ERROR_RX_MALFORMED_SERVER_HELLO in firefox or ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR in chrome, the problem goes away if I close hitomi downloader

Go to Options - Preferences - Network and turn Bypass DPI off.

GoodbyeDPI breaks some internet connections.

Why is this left on by default...?
Options that break internet connections should be off by default. Don't apply a fix to something that isn't broken.
I've been struggling with this issue for like half a year before I figured out it was Hitomi Downloader that was the culprit.
So much time wasted troubleshooting.
Btw, the setting has been moved to Options - Preferences - Network
It's no longer in the Advanced tab.

It is a problem on the side of GoodbyeDPI.

You'd better ask here
