The trigger I picked here is the combined activities of researching a fact and converting to a purchase. The assistant recognizes a pattern and asks the user if there is any further action to be taken. The assistant also functions with interfaces to the users other devices, in order to send more information, such as an email to the mobile device. Since the assistant also helps the user in other everyday activities, it can interpret actions and purchases and support the user in his daily life.

The situation I picked is one of the assistant recognizing two successive actions taken place, in this case researching a vacation and ordering a book about the specific country. The assistant follows up, asking the user if she would like to take further action. The user complies and the assistant starts the process of searching for a suitable flight and apartment. The assistant speaks in colloquial language and uses common phrases to sound more natural. Also, the first name of the user is used to establish a friendly connection to the user. Commenting positively on the choices by the user resembles a natural conversation. If the user hesitates, the assistant responds with more information in order to help the user make a decision. Also, either-or questions are asked instead of questions which the user can answer freely. If the user asks for a repetition, the system uses different words to describe the same information, in order not to bore or annoy the user. The assistant should never list endless options, but give a number of the options that will be presented and select the relevant ones, such as during the search for an apartment. The assistant, which the user has used to plan a trip before, refers to preferences the user showed during a smiliar task, such as the preferences for an apartment. Once the process is finished, the assistant gives an audio signaling the end of the process.
