Hi guys. Our main server is down (hardware failure).
Sorry for this.
In the meantime, I advise you to build from sources: It's very easy both on Linux and OSX.

Hi, Could please upload the binaries on UbuntuOne or Dropbox, because some people might prefer it?

Just created a torrent for a vagrant box, which should fit all platforms
and use cases (building apps, hacking Opa) while we can build new packages
for each platform etc.

Your ocaml seems to be neither a 64bit or a 32bit version. Please install a native 64 bit package

How is it possible to fix the 64 bit problem?

Hi, I just discovered OPA and I'm fascinated by it.
I just installed the framework and run a few tutorial examples and I would be ready for further experimentation.
However docs.opalang.org is down and as I see here this seems to persist from some time now.
Are the another way to access the api docs?

At the moment all the links on the website point to the Vagrant box despite showing 'For Mac' for example. Very confusing and annoying.

Sorry for this. Our provider ovh killed our dedicated server for no reason
and its backup and talking up their support of extremely painful as they
don't answer.

We also lack time to set up new servers as we are focused on releasing
other software products (made with opa)...

Will keep you posted.

Yeah, I've heard really bad things about OVH :/

If you're looking to switch, I've found Online.net to be good.

The box failed to unpackage properly. Please verify that the box

I also have a similar problem. I am new to Vagrant and Virtualbox, was that problem with downloading the file virtualbox.box from vagrantcloud.com?

go directly to the vagrantcloud and look for mlstate/opa, the link will forward you to a Google Doc download page. From there you can download the box and add to Vagrant by yourself.

I hope we will be able to relaunch the server soon, maybe via a (little) crowdfunding campaign.

Might I suggest running it on digitalocean. It is ridiculously cheap for a simple server.

Problem is not the hosting cost but the time required to bring the service up again. We have to update the code and we lost the scripts to build the db.

tazdij commented Jun 4, 2015

how much do you estimate that it should cost, to bring up a server?
