I'm not sure if we're working towards 1.0.0 support but I ran into an issue while building the operator yesterday and had to revert to 0.19.3 to get the operator built. I'm opening this issue so we can track if there's other things that need to be done for 1.0.0 support.

Note, it looks like build machines use 0.15.x from: #432 and 0.17.0 support isn't done either: #477 , so it's likely 0.19.x has other problems I didn't encounter or notice.

We were intentionally using 0.something because of downstream limitations. I don't know if that's still an issue. @bdunne might know.

Downstream we are using 0.17 because it added support for a feature we needed. I think we stuck with 0.15 upstream because of an OpenShift version requirement.
