Issues from targeting SDK 28

  • Vanishing content in the GPS and lock buttons (blocker!)
  • Preferences layout
  • Serialization crash when saving state (blocker!)
  • tests using mockserver don't work
  • grant FOREGROUND_SERVICE permission
  • tests that start with the splash screen fail

Serialization fix in c478245 upps doesn't seem so. Needed some more work. See RuedigerMoeller/fast-serialization#288 for upstream issue.

Seems as if the style for the preferences has changed always leaving room for icons likely. Don't think we need to do anything.

1a9890c allows http for all destinations as otherwise we likely have issues with tile servers.

Number 6 fixed in 6ed3fbf -failing again- fixing the file selection in the GPX test resolved the remaining issue, see 572f472
