This is something that @david-yz-liu mentioned a few months back.
The admin dashboard is currently just some graphs and summaries of the class assignments. While this information may be useful, it can cause the log in process to be slow if it needs to load a lot of assignments' data in order to load this page, which is the first thing an admin/instructor sees upon logging in.
We could possibly revamp the dashboard to show other information and shortcuts to various parts of the admin console, which allow for quicker navigation without needing to revamp the menu system. We should of course keep the current assignment summaries, but possibly move them to a different page.

That seems like an awfully inefficient use of space. It'd be nice to have the "quick links" so users don't have to go through multiple pages to get somewhere.
