Setup and installation
The list may seem a bit long but you only have to do it once!
- Chrome browser version of the game: http://game.granbluefantasy.jp
- Chomium v67.0.3366.0 or a more recent version. Please note that some Chrome versions are not compatible. You can download specific Chromium versions here. Some older versions may also be compatible. Version 67.0.3366.0 is guaranteed to be compatible.
- Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015. Make sure to download the 32-bit version (
vc_redist.x86.exe). - Download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2. Usually it is already installed.
- Make sure to set your browser zoom to 100% and your Windows scaling to 100% as well (Windows 7, Windows 10).
- A screen resolution with a height greater than 800 pixels is highly recommended to avoid having some buttons in the footer menu (such as "My Page") overlapping other buttons.
After making sure that you satisfied the prerequisites, you will need to register a new account on the download website. This will grant you access to the Zooey Bot management page, where you can get a new licence as well as the download link. Use the serial number generator provided on that same page (direct download here) to obtain a serial number for your computer.
Please note that using a full-screen Chrome window is not supported.
Download the Zooey Bot ZIP archive from the ZooeyBot management page, extract the downloaded file and proceed as described below.
Before running the executable file ZooeyBot.exe from the archive you just extracted, you will need to install the Zooey Bot Chrome Extension.
Navigate to chrome://extensions/ in your Chrome browser, then tick the Developer mode checkbox:
Then click on the Load unpacked extension button and select the folder zooey-bot-extension from the archive you previously extracted.
To use the slime-blasting mode (co-op farming using two different accounts on the same computer), please also install the zooey-bot-slave-extension, using a different Chrome user profile. Here is how to do so:
Step 1: click on the current Chrome user icon in the top right corner of your Chrome browser
Step 2: Click on "Manage people"
Step 3: Add a new Chrome user
You are done, you now have a brand new virgin and completely separate Chrome browser environment. Install the zooey-bot-extension in for that new Chrome browser profile. You are now ready to use the slime-blasting mode and AFK grind your way to rank 250 and get your potion stock to +∞.

This step is especially important for Zooey not to get stuck when farming quests with skippable scenes.
If you have a low screen resolution, you are also advised to hide the chat button so that it does not hide other buttons, as follows:
When you run ZooeyBot.exe for the first time, you will be asked to download your key.txt file. You can also get a direct download link to your key file here. Please note that to download your key file, you will need to be logged in.
Zooey will start with the Basic mode.
The messages displayed in the console should guide you through the rest of the setup. Make sure that your Chrome DevTools console does not cover the game screen: here is an example of a good screen layout. The Network tab has to be selected in the Chrome Devtools console.
If you run into registration error messages (you should not even with the trial version!), look for a file named serial_number.txt located in the same folder as ZooeyBot.exe. This file is created as soon as you start Zooey Bot. The contents of this file has to match the one on this page and you will be fine to go!
You never have to modify the contents of your key.txt file unless you update your password.
