Please please please implement this!!! This affects people who have LG TVs and Sonos PlayBars. |
Any update on this? I'm going to have to go Plex until this is resolved. |

Not yet, but regarding Samsung, did you see this: |
I vote for this, even though it's due to Sonos. My current workaround is to downgrade the bandwidth to force a transcoding (but this is client-wide, so I keep setting it back up for movies with a non-DTS track). But it would be nice to watch the full video bandwidth with the transcoded audio. |
Hello just wanted to see if there is an update for this. |
I too would like to +1 this. I'm currently having to use Plex app on my LG smart TV as it has the client-side feature to override and explicitly disable DTS which my Sonos Beam does not support. I have the Emby app installed alongside Plex and I much prefer Emby but cannot use it because of the lack of this one single feature. I will almost certainly buy the premium Emby licence once this is resolved! |
Just got a sound bar for Black Friday. DTS doesn’t work most of the time, sometimes it will about 2-3 minutes into playback but a rewind or fast forward restarts the 2-3 minute wait. |
+1 for this. Absolutely loving Emby but no audio plays unless the audio track is stereo on the file. Being able to force stereo playback would be amazing. It's the only thing keeping me from getting Emby Premier. Having to swivel-chair apps for the time being. |
+1 I have an LG TV and there is no way to explicitly tell it to use stereo output. A down-mixing configuration option would be amazing. |
any news on this? |
