Ubuntu Installation issues

Hello,
Thank you very much for providing this package, I am curious to try out your algorithms!
Could you update the page https://smil.cmm.minesparis.psl.eu/doc/p260.html with working installation instructions?
I am running Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS and had some issues.
Suggested changes:

• run all commands with sudo
• add chmod +x to make the files executable
• replace conda installation of libraries with

sudo apt-get install g++ cmake swig \
                     libpng-dev libjpeg-dev libtiff-dev curl \
                     qtbase5-dev python3-pyqt5

• remove typical workflow, because it does not work
• replacecontrib/scripts/config-smil -h with contrib/scripts/config-smil --help

Please let me know in case I missed anything or if I can help in any way.

People usually know which commands shall be run as root or normal user

* add chmod +x to make the files executable

Which files are you talking about ? Maybe some scripts in the contrib directory ?

When using conda, all libraries must come from conda, not the system libraries. Unless strictly necessary, all dependence on system libraries must be avoided.

Yes, it works. Why are you saying this ? This is a generic workflow which may need some tweaks depending on the OS version. * replace` contrib/scripts/config-smil -h ` with `contrib/scripts/config-smil --help` OK. It shall work with both.
