I have done a FRESH install of minecraft server, forge (the very latest), and added ONLY the latest ChickenBoneCore 0.9.0.9, along with the latest PR 4.3.2.26 files. Is there some other required file? Because it simply does not. I have tried everything I know and followed the direction on the page. I don't get it. your entire mod works with the old version, but 25 and build 26 just won't launch at all. I can't even get the client version to load without crashing and thats too is all fresh install. Maybe I am doing something wrong here but I have even tried going over to a PC and another laptop that is MAC and I can not get these to work at all.... When launching the server, it won't even get far enough to give me a crash report. Here is what it says when I try to launch the server with just 4.3.2.23 files in MOD folder of the server and the CodeChickenCore 0.9.0.9..... UPDATE: You were right, it was Java 7 that was needed. Thats important to note, and I think they should make it more clear that Java 7 is going to be needed and the Apple Java 6 wll no longer be working (Unless this was just an over site on compiling it for Java 6). For other Mac users, here is how I fixed it: You need to download Java 7 from Oracle's site - its the JDK File: jdk-7u51-macosx-x64 Install it once it downloads. Open Terminal and type in: java -version If its not, may have it disabled and need to type in the following line in the terminal: sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws It will ask you for the password, enter your system password and hit enter. Now enter: java -version and press enter Once you have updated to Java 7 correctly, you will need to launch Vanilla Minecraft from the bootstrap.jar file instead. To load from the bootstrap, you need to find the main Minecraft file (ICON) in the APPLICATIONS folder (or where ever you put yours), right click on it and select "Show Package Contents", then go to the RESOURCES folder then open the JAVA folder and then click on "bootstrap.jar" This will open Minecraft using the 1.7 version of Oracle's Java and not Apple's 1.6 version. If you use Feed the Beast, or Tekkit, you will need to get help with those too on updating your "lwjgl" files. A good video on doing that is here: Oh, and I also found how to disable the ticking sound of the PR Timer in the PR config file, however, I think it would be better to be able to disable the sound of individual items rather than globally all the items in PR. @MrTJP Do you intend to compile future releases with java 1.6? If not then it should be made clear on the wiki. |

If 1.6 should be standard then I will compile it as such in the future. I didn't know it compiled for 1.7 |
I updated my PR files from from 4.2.2.19 to the recent 4.3.1.25, and then 2 days later to the 4.3.2.26 and in both the upgrades, both the "Compat" & "World" files causes my server to crash when trying to boot it. I remove them, and the server loads fine. I also put the old 4.2.2.19 version of JUST the "Compat" & "world" files back in with the newer updated version of all the rest of PR 4.3.2.26 files and everything works perfect.
