Did you install libexecinfo?

pkg_add libexecinfo

Ok, replicated. The problem appears to be gcc.

OpenBSD's gcc is too old for Fort. Even if it doesn't blow up during the backtrace check, it's bound to do so later.

Try

env CC=clang CFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib ./configure

Ok, noted. Is clang a sufficient workaround for now, though?
