The Concept

Arska saves on your energy bill by demand-side flexibility, i.e. maximizing usage of self-produced (solar) energy and shifting energy purchases to the cheapest hours. Arska version 1.1 can also read directly from the HAN P1 port of new smart energy meters and perform load management.

Arska is a microcontroller based application for reading energy meters, sensors, and controlling switches based on price, energy forecast, and grid (consumption and production) information. Arska gets market and energy forecast data from EntsoE transparency platform, Elering and Finnish Meteorological Institute (Finland only). Arska runs with several ESP32-based devices.
