There are various places that still retain the old Nix logo, e.g. hydra.nixos.org, some backgrounds and most of https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-artwork. Perhaps the text part of the logo might be discussed as well, e.g. which font to use, etc.

I believe all should be unified before the next release.

I sent a PR to screenfetch with the new logo (I did my best but small ascii art is hard).
Also I made this slim theme, It's based on my color scheme so I'm not sure it's ok for nixos-artwork.

Hydra.nixos.org still shows the old one, and I haven't heard of anyone changing the various default backgrounds (grub, lightdm, etc.). EDIT: maybe some other places as well – this was just off top of my head.

@vcunat I believe the log o has been updated in all relevant spots in past 2 years. can we close this issue?

Not in grub, at least on my machine, and the grub issue linked above is still open.
