Two years ago we have reverted a change that gave us a way to enter a VM part of a test due to issues on Hydra.

While there's a way to get into the python session for the test script, it's clumsy to do any kind of real inspection as one would in a terminal.

Maybe there's a way to have a function that hands out the serial terminal port that the driver is using?

Not stale, it would still be nice to get something like a PDB shell on the test script conveniently
