I wonder if the license (unfree) is really still correct? Because:

1. gzdoom has changed it's license away from unfree, and this refers to
2. the zdoom license page, which has changed on April 17, 2017, and
3. zandronum itself has a closed issue: "Non-free files and copyright issues in source archive" which is tagged as "fixed in [Doomseeker] version 1.2".

It would be great if we could move away from unfree in zandronum, too; what do you think?

ah, having zandronum distributed by hydra would be nice. not sure if I will have some time to update it though. maybe at the weekend or at nixcon

Zandronum still depends on fmodex

GZDoom is using openal

Also, TSPG (the most used hosting server on the zandronum community) is pushing the use of the 3.2 dev builds for feedback and removed 3.1 from the hosting options, so it would be nice to have a separate nightly/beta package.
